Overview

The 6-day trek to Mount Meru is one of Tanzania’s most rewarding adventures. Located inside Arusha National Park, Mount Meru (4,566m) is the second-highest mountain in Tanzania and offers spectacular scenery, rich wildlife, and excellent acclimatization for those preparing to climb Kilimanjaro.

This trek combines mountain hiking with wildlife encounters such as giraffes, buffaloes, and colobus monkeys — making it a unique experience compared to other African peaks.

Ideal as a standalone climb or as preparation before Mount Kilimanjaro.
